In Greece there is public insurance, in USA there;s not. If you mean private health insurance, there are plenty Generali Life etc

One of the many is the one mentioned on the link below. It used to have very good benefits.

Insurance provided by the state is mandatory in Greece, whether you work in the private sector (IKA insurance) or you are a professional (OAEE for example which is one of the many for pros). It is up to the individual to get another insurance, if they want. Many ones exist... too many (if you ask me) for such a small market.
