I want to live on an island of Greece, are there any nice cheaper areas? Also where would a good suburban area be?

Definitely check out the islands. The mainland is junk. But if you go during the off-season, it can be hot as hell. You can take a cruise through islands like Mykonos, Syros... I forget all the ones I visited.
