The only way to do that would be to buy a US iTunes gift certificate from ebay. The iTunes store is set up so that it detects your IP address when you log on and blocks you from buying if you are not from that country - it sucks I know but the RIAA (not Apple) are particulary anal and backwards about these things. Not sure if using a proxy would work as don't need to use one. I use the iTunes New Zealand Store for my music.
