Most of them live here in Australia lol There is a high density of population in the urban areas such as Athens and along the coast . In the rural areas the population is rapidly decreasing as more young people leave home for education, work or to emigrate overseas. Many young people also feel constrained and disconnected with their peers living in a village community where everyone knows everyone 's business.

The cities vary - there are poor parts and rich parts. The rural dwellers are mostly poor - smaller towns (not major cities) seem to be in the medium range. Nowadays though you'll probaly find most on in debt as most countries due to mortgages and paying for their childrens' education no matter what the class level

Almost half of the Greek population lives in the greater Athens area. Approx 5 million. Of the remaining half the population is evenly distributed to major cities all over the country mostly in the mainland. I should say to a proportion 1:3 for the urban to rural. The poorest region of Greece is the North West one called Epirus, in fact is the poorest in the EU. No arid lands or work possibilities make it the most problematic region of Greece with most of the inhabitants having migrate to Germany and Belgium.

There's no such thing as a rural city. Cities are always urban areas, which makes the term "urban cities" redundant.
